Seiji Ozawa, who was diagnosed with cancer in January, will conduct at the Saito Kinen Festival in Japan for the first time since his treatment. While his “real physical strength has yet to come back,” Ozawa will perform at Carnegie Hall in December and plans to return to his post at the Vienna State Opera.
Still, according to BBC Ozawa has lost 33 pounds and “can’t eat much.” He has canceled several performances in Europe scheduled for the Fall, but has retained his commitment to four comeback concerts in September according to The Mainichi Daily News

I hope Mr. Seiji Ozawa is in best of health! I admired a lot about Mr. Seiji Ozawa because of his talent. I wish he can live in Japan, Tokyo and to be a music teacher for my daughter but, my daughter is just a junior rock band. I hope she will become a bright and out standing rock band in near future. This is my greatest wish of all, I hope she will succeed but, she like arts a lot too and she is very good in arts. She’s gifted in arts cause she started to draw TV cartoons at the age of two. When ever after watching TV cartoons, she will take a pencil and a piece of paper and start drawing the cartoon animation she saw on TV. This is how she’s gifted and I didn’t know she love music too. Well, I wish and hope one day she can become like Mr. Seiji Ozawa. Wish you in the best of health and take good care too!
